Dr. John H. Binkley, Chairman of Generational Equity, currently serves on the Board of Directors of three faith-based organizations — Here’s Life Africa, Iran Alive Ministries and Christian Cultural Center — and has worked with a variety of ministries around the globe.
Here’s Life Africa
Here’s Life Africa a nonprofit 501(c)(3) interdenominational ministry with the mission of sharing the story of Jesus, disciple villagers and equip pastors African countries.
The organization has about 50 two-man teams who go into remote African villages to preach the gospel. They start a dialogue with village leaders, show JESUS and AIDS education films in indigenous languages, provide follow-up for new believers by connecting them to a local pastor, plant a church, train lay pastors, and form Bible listening groups.
“What impresses me is that for $500 Here’s Life Africa can send a team of native ministers into a village and establish an up-and-running, sustainable church.
This year alone, 50 teams of Here’s Life native ministers will go into 3,000 remote villages to share the story of Jesus, disciple villagers, train leaders, and plant a church. Villagers gather to hear God’s Word in their native language as a facilitator or pastor reads or uses a solar powered audio Bible/Proclaimer to broadcast messages.
As these newly planted churches take root, true hope comes, lives are changed, and the response to the gospel message spreads and is multiplied to many other villagers.”
– Dr. John Binkley, Board Member of Here’s Life Africa
Iran Alive Ministries
Iran Alive Ministries aims to transform the lives of Iranians through viral evangelism, obedience-based discipleship and practical leadership development via satellite TV, Internet and the support of church planting.
It was founded in 2001 by Dr. Hormoz Shariat. After successful church planting among Iranian Muslims in Northern California, the ministry grew using satellite broadcasts to reach Iranian Muslims worldwide and began to play a significant role in the underground church planting movement in the Middle Eastern country.
Christian Cultural Center
The Christian Cultural Center is a unique model of Christian ministry that fuses a cathedral, touch of Smithsonian, and college campus into one, integrating the sacred, institutional and intellectual to create a dynamic worship and spiritual growth experience.
CCC is comprised of three campuses: one in Brooklyn, one on Long Island and one on the Internet. Its mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, help spiritual seekers become transformed believers, and demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ to the world, through humanitarian works and social engagement.
