Spreading God’s Word in 2018 with Dr. John Binkley

March 15, 2018 By Dr John Binkley - Generational Equity

Dr. John Binkley shares his plans to continue spreading and receiving God's Word in 2018.

In his life, Dr. John Binkley has worn many hats. As Founder and Chairman of Generational Equity, Dr. Binkley has been a prolific name in mergers and acquisitions, as well as presented strong business leadership. In this time, he has taken on a variety of other roles: philanthropist, scholar, speaker, author, globetrotter and a pretty swell golfer.

But, undoubtedly the hat he wears with the greatest devotion is his determination to uphold, practice and spread the Word of God. For Dr. Binkley, this is his greatest passion and commitment, and has been constant among his professional pursuits and other pastimes.

That is why 2017, like many other years before that, Dr. Binkley committed a significant amount of time to his ministry work. Whether it’s leading sermons at several churches, including his son Ryan Binkley’s Create Church, or participating in missions worldwide, such as Here’s Life Africa’s journey to Tanzania, he tirelessly seeks to support God’s work and educate believers in all corners of the globe.

This enthusiasm and devotion will not be slowing in 2018. Dr. Binkley is looking forward to attending several Christian events and conferences this year, many of which he hopes all you readers will be interested in joining as well.

Here, Dr. John Binkley shares a sample of the events he will be participating in this year, and how they could support your duties as a believer and invigorate your passion for God.

AP Ministries Men’s Conference – Restoration of Manhood

The earliest of Dr. John Binkley’s appearances will be at the Men’s Conference: Restoration of Manhood, hosted by Ambassadors’ Pointe Ministries. The conference takes place on March 23rd and 24th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dr. Binkley is excited not just to be attending, but to be one of the three key speakers at the event.

Dr. Binkley has always been an advocate for empowering the role of men as leaders in their homes, churches and communities. That is because, stretching back to the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden, it was Adam’s consumption of the forbidden fruit that sealed our fate. Therefore, God holds the man accountable, making it essential that men recognize this and embrace their responsibility to keep a Godly household and spread this into their wider community.

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” – Romans 5:12

This conference is a wonderful opportunity to reinforce this message for all attendees, and Dr. Binkley is pleased to be one of the voices of this presentation. His sessions will focus on the journey to manhood and the importance of wisdom as a quality. Joined by fellow prominent speakers, Dr. Kevin Dyson and Andrew McKean, Dr. Binkley hopes this conference is a truly enlightening one for men passionate about following and committing to The Lord.

Registration for the 2018 AP Men’s Conference ends on March 20th, so if you are interested email andy@newzeal.org or call 513-608-9316. There is no fee to register, so take the next step in your journey with God.

Transforum

There will be little time to rest for Dr. Binkley after the Men’s Conference, as from April 12-14 he will be attending the Transforum in Austin, Texas. This event is organized by GoStrategic, an organization dedicated to equipping believers to become leaders in the communities where they live, work and serve.

This vision is shared by John and Ryan Binkley. Both firmly believe in helping others to discover their purpose within God’s eternal plan. Indeed, Dr. Binkley’s book Character is King outlines a roadmap for finding this goal, as well as steps to improve your connection with God on the path to fulfilling your vision.

That is why Dr. Binkley is very much looking forward to Transforum, and not just because it’s in Generational Equity’s home of Texas. The event is designed to demonstrate the importance of Christian values in the midst of cultural and societal turmoil. Keynote speakers representing a diverse range of backgrounds will hopefully inspire all attendees to rethink their day-to-day lives through the Kingdom of God, transforming every area of their life for the better.

Hopefully you will join Dr. Binkley at the conference and experience the transformation it promises. You can learn more on GoStategic’s website: www.gostrategic.org/transforum-faq.

Here’s Life Africa Annual Golf Tournament

Dr. John Binkley discusses Here's Life Africa's Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by Generational Group.

Dr. John Binkley’s long association with Here’s Life Africa has been very fruitful in spreading the Word of God to the remotest areas of the world. Every experience with this association is memorable, but he unquestionably has a special place in his heart for the Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Cowboys Golf Club.

There are few things Dr. Binkley enjoys more than a round of 18 holes. But the added purpose of raising money for a valuable cause makes it even more worthwhile, which is why Generational Group is proud to sponsor this event.

While there is that to look forward to in May, Dr. Binkley is also excited for the return of Here’s Life Africa’s Annual Grace Works Conference in October, following the success of last year’s inaugural event. It was a very powerful and rewarding experience for all that attended, and he hopes it will grow after 2017’s very positive outcomes.

Missions to Africa

Finally, as a passionate voyager that has visited 66 nations, Dr. John Binkley will once again be crossing the globe in June to attend a Pastor’s Conference in Kampala, Uganda. Here, Dr. Binkley is looking forward to meeting and engaging with pastors and ministers from Uganda and throughout Africa, as well as further afield.

Dr. Binkley is always pleased to attend events in many corners of the world and is deeply encouraged by the successful integration of Christ’s teachings in Africa and other developing areas. Hopefully, as 2018 progresses, he will have further chances to revisit other countries in pursuit of spreading God’s Word.

God’s Word and You in 2018

Already, 2018 is shaping up to be a spiritually and personally enriching year for Dr. John Binkley, with each experience bolstering his fellowship with The Lord.

With this year already partway through, maybe now is the time to consider what your faith means to you? Especially in the current age, having the knowledge and devotion to involve Christ’s teachings in everyday life is vital to remain connected to Him. There are certainly opportunities for leaders to emerge within their communities and Dr. Binkley hopes to see more take up this mantle in 2018.

If you too would like to rejuvenate your faith this year, or understand the responsibilities and rewards of spiritual leadership, he would highly encourage you to research similar conferences and events. Both here in the United States and further afield, they will help you discover new ways to approach your love of God.

If you live in the Dallas area, Create Church is based in the city of Richardson and would be an ideal starting point on this great journey. Lead Pastor Ryan Binkley would be delighted to welcome you, as will Dr. Binkley during his frequent visits.

My New Year’s Resolution: A Better Relationship with God in 2018

January 11, 2018 By Dr John Binkley - Generational Equity

Dr. John Binkley shares advice on how you can achieve a better relationship with God in 2018.

The first month of a new year is always notable for one thing: New Year’s Resolutions. While they are incredibly easy to make, they are notoriously hard to keep, whether your goal is to lose weight, quit smoking, or start a new hobby. For Dr. John Binkley, one element of his New Year’s Resolution lists is ever-present: cementing a better relationship with God.

Dr. Binkley has written in the past on how to pursue and maintain a fellowship with God, and explained why this is key to fulfilling His plans for you, be they in business, in life, or in spirit. Dr. Binkley was blessed to enjoy success in all three of these areas during 2017.

His company, Generational Equity, had a standout year, from being named Investment Banking Firm of the Year by The M&A Advisor, to having the pleasure of sponsoring several charity events. Dr. Binkley’s son Ryan was pivotal in this development, highlighting the strength of family ties in Generational Equity’s progress.

Finally, Dr. Binkley was honored to continue his work with numerous faith-based organizations. Whether it was participating in missions across the globe, or speaking at Ryan’s Create Church, he continuously strengthened his relationship with God. But, that doesn’t earn you a year off – it is an ongoing process. So, how can you have a better relationship with God in 2018?

Connecting to God

One prominent faith-based organization Dr. John Binkley works with is Here’s Life Africa. In his role on the Board of Directors, he was delighted with its productivity in 2017, including the launch of their first Grace Works Conference in October. In their efforts to continue this in 2018, Here’s Life Africa has shared advice on how to better connect with God this year.

Firstly, Here’s Life Africa President Andy Blakeslee encourages you to think of faith as a tire. As you drive on your journey with God, your spiritual tires may start to deflate. Andy knows a lot about this, as Here’s Life Africa’s ministry teams endure nearly 100 literal flat tires a month travelling across the continent.

But, they have become skilled in repairing these, in the same way you can be skilled in inflating your spiritual tires. For Dr. Binkley, keeping these fully filled is key in discovering God’s perfect plan for you in 2018.

Furthermore, Here’s Life Africa have provided these 10 discipleship questions to ask yourself during the year, to help you maintain devotion to God:

  • What is your Bible reading plan for 2018?
  • Which specific steps will you take to love your family better?
  • What lost person(s) will you pray for?
  • Who will you disciple in 2018?
  • What sin(s) do you need God’s help to overcome?
  • How will you improve your prayer life?
  • When will you fast?
  • What mission(s)/project(s) will you support?
  • How much will you give churches/missions financially?
  • Will you recommit to following God despite sacrifice/cost?

Dr. John Binkley would like to highlight two of these in particular: Bible reading plans and prayer schedules. There are specific actions you can take to improve both in 2018, thus strengthening your relationship with God.

Research conducted by LifeWay discovered that just 20% of Americans polled have read all of the Bible at least once. If you would like to improve your reading habits, try:

  • Committing to read a chapter a day so you don’t overwhelm yourself immediately
  • Using a Daily Walk Bible for support, using the New Living Translation for easier understanding
  • Taking advantage of helpful devotional tools, like Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling

With regards to prayer guidance, perhaps consider make a list of everyone in your life, and jot down what prayer requests to make for each of them? Tim Keller’s Prayer: Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God is a useful tool to support your journey.

This is just a glimpse into ways you can have God’s presence in your life during 2018. There are many approaches to consider, from asking Him to focus on a word or trait in your prayers, to prioritizing thankfulness every day. If you’d like to learn more about finding your place in God’s vision, Dr. John Binkley’s Character is King offers a valuable guide.

Your Relationship with God in 2018

Dr. John Binkley hopes you are focusing on your relationship with God in your New Year’s Resolutions for 2018. He is already looking forward to future travels with Here’s Life Africa and other faith-based organizations, alongside his efforts to continue Generational Equity’s growth and other personal endeavors.

Whatever your goals are in 2018, Dr. Binkley wishes you nothing but the best in accomplishing them. Connecting to God will certainly help you in those aims, as through Him you will have the motivation and wisdom to discover His vision for you.

Here’s Life Africa’s Grace Works Conference Recap

November 13, 2017 By Dr John Binkley - Generational Equity

Dr. John Binkley recaps the first annual Grace Works Conference from Here's Life Africa.

Recently, Dr. John Binkley shared that he would be attending the first annual Grace Works Conference held by Here’s Life Africa on October 13 and 14, 2017. The event, emphatically titled ‘Here’s Life Africa Here in America,’ was held at the Hope Center in Plano, Texas, and was a pivotal two days in the development of Here’s Life Africa and the work it intends to do to spread the teachings of God.

Dr. Binkley has been a devoted director of the board for Here’s Life Africa for many years now, supporting its growth and participating in missions across Africa. He was privileged to both attend and speak at this initial Grace Works Conference, joined by several other influential speakers and champions of the Word of God. What resulted was a tremendously successful event, one that left all who attended closer to The Lord.

A Miracle

That was how the President of Here’s Life Africa, Andy Blakeslee, described this first Grace Works Conference, and Dr. John Binkley is in full agreement. At the event, speakers such as Dr. Binkley challenged all attendees to go deeper in their devotion to God and truly consider what He expects from you to reach the promised land at Heaven’s Gates.

Those of us privileged to be there discovered concepts of hope and faith that we had never previously considered. Even after years of ministry work across 66 countries, Dr. Binkley still revels in exploring his faith, always with the purpose of strengthening his ties to The Lord. All 60 attendees across both days could feel God’s presence throughout – a turnout that everyone hopes pleased Him.

But it was not just the spirit of God coursing through attendees that made this an especially miraculous event – it was donations made to Here’s Life Africa to support the organization’s cause. Reservations at the conference were completely free, but Dr. Binkley was delighted to learn from Andy that 14 of the attendees had been compelled to make commitments totaling over $240,000 – an astonishing figure and a testament to the impact this conference left on all who were there.

Of course, it is not the money itself that is miraculous, but the goodwill and heart it represents from the contributors. Both Dr. Binkley and Andy Blakeslee are fans of the verse Philippians 4:17 which sums up what donations such as this mean:

Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.

Therefore, it is not our desire for monetary gain but rather that your generosity goes toward your safe passage to Heaven. Dr. Binkley and all associated with Here’s Life Africa are deeply grateful and humbled by this support, and are thankful for all the great work it will allow in spreading Christianity in the remote regions of Africa.

Dr. John Binkley with Here’s Life Africa

While widely known for his role as Founder and Chairman of Generational Equity, Dr. John Binkley’s true passions are founded on his faith. This is why he is always eager to spread the message of God in any way possible, whether it is speaking to his son Ryan’s congregation at Create Church, to his presence on an ever-growing number of missions. Dr. Binkley is devoted to The Lord, and is proud to be affiliated to associations like Here’s Life Africa who share that vision.

It only takes 82¢ to start one African’s journey to a relationship with God and $500 to plant a church, which makes the money raised at this first Grace Works Conference all the more significant. Of course, if you would like to share in this spirit of generosity, you can also give to Here’s Life Africa through their website. Blessed be to all of you who do.

Of course, you can read more about Dr. John Binkley’s ministry work here on the website, and the positive work it achieves in spreading the Word of God. Alternatively, discover more about organizations Dr. Binkley is associated with on their respective websites:
